A farewell program was organized on 3rd March 2020 at Mulki Ramakrishna Punja Industrial Training Institute to honor Sri. Y.N. Salian, Principal on his retirement, after a long tenure of 35 years in the organization. Mr. N Vinaya Hegde, President, Nitte Education Trust presided over the function and felicitated Mr. Y.N. Salian. He recalled the hard work and enthusiasm of Mr. Salian and informed the gathering that MRPITI was recognized as a well-known institution in the district due to the sincere efforts and leadership of Mr. Salian.

Workshop on solar lighting and water heater - MRPITI

A 3-day workshop was organized at M R Punja Industrial Training Institute, Tapovana, Thokur jointly in association with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy and Development (MGIRED) and Selco Foundation, Bangalore on 26th February 2019.

The 70th Republic Day celebration was held   on January 26th at M R Punja ITI, Tapovana, Thokur. The Chief guest, Rtn. PHF M Narayan, Retd. Manager SBI and President Rotary Club, Mulki unfurled the national flag and  addressed the gathering. Harvard Institute of Fire & Safety, Mangalore jointly with NSS & Rover units of MRPITI organized a program on "Fire & Safety awareness" at MR Punja ITI, Tapovana, Thokur on 14th January 2019.

National Youth Day - MRPITI

Swami Vivekananda's 156th birth anniversary was celebrated by the Junior Chamber International India, Padubidri jointly with NSS & Rovers units of MR Punja ITI on 12th January 2019 at the college.

The National Youth Day program was inaugurated by JCH Madhava Suvarna, State Trainer JCI. In his inaugural speech he said, "There are currently 1.8 billion young people between the age group of 10 and 24 in the world. Youth need safe spaces where they can come together, to contribute to the development of their country".
